August 13 - Damn it...

The camera batteries are dead and I'm sick. I'll hopefully be over the cold by Wednesday or Thursday, I'll train lightly until I'm over it.

None the less, I weighed myself this morning at 56.8kg, But I was pretty dehydrated and hungry, so we'll see in a few days.

12 August Update - FINALLY

I'm finally updating, it's been far too long. But don't think that means I haven't been training. I've joined a new weights gym and have become alot more strict with my training. I've decided that instead of bulking then cutting, I'm going to do both at the same time. Obviously both will be slower this way but I won't have to worry about cycling them. I weighed myself about a week ago at a very lean 57kg... getting there :) . I'll weigh again tomorrow morning and post it up with a pic aswell. I'm gonna try and update as often as I can within reason, as I've said before a picture everyday probably won't show enough difference to be considered an improvement.

So I'll post tomorrow, and hopefully every day or 2 after that until I reach my goal.

17th June - Progress Update

I weighed myself in at 57.8kg this morning, it seems like alot of gain since I weighed an exact 57kg. I assume it has something to do with stomach contents/hydration. Either way, I decided to take some progress pictures today. Here's the front on one, that I will be using for comparisons.

7th May 17th June

Alot of the gains made are difficult to see in the straight front on, especially in this lighting (frosted bulbs right infront of me make definition hard to see). I'll point on the increase in forearm and upper arm size, noticable where the upper arm meet the forearm, the angle is no longer as severe. Pectorial size hasn't increased by much, lats have gained quite alot of size. Abs and obliques have all increased in size, unfortunently the bit of fat I've put on since starting has covered that nicely :( .

Well, that's it guys, not much to see here. I will do a comparison with the previous picture each time I take progress pics, to try and show progress. I hope to do a slideshow, or some sort fo representation of each stage when I reach my 62.5kg goal. I'll try to take them fortnightly, as taking them weekly wouldn't really show enough difference to be worth an update.

Update

Hey guys, thought I might put in an update, nothing big.

I'm finally getting over the hill of a cold I've had since Saturday-Sunday, YAY! I can go back to training properly now, because I know that training when you're sick isn't the smartest thing to do.

I went to Muay Thai training tonight and really drilled the pads, I was exhausted by the end. And although I'm aiming for weight, I need to keep my endurance up and my bodyfat relatively low.

I plan on getting pictures of myself either tomorrow or Saturday, just so I can start doing a weekly (or however often I can) update.

That's all, thanks guy.

Beginning

Hey guys. I just started this blog to help me keep track of my physical progress, and to easily show others.

I am 16, turning 17 on June 30th and I live in Sydney, Australia. I train in Muay Thai, with a background in Taekwondo but wanted to move on. I hope to some day get into the professional circuit, that would be great.

I am training myself almost specifially for Muay Thai with my weights sessions and cardio. After weighing in for a sparring competition at a tiny 56kg (with socks, shorts and a shirt on, after a meal) I wasn't able to be matched with anybody in the adult division. I decided to put on some weight to get into the higher, and more competitive weight division.

Since starting out at around 54kg-55kg at 7% bodyfat, I have gotten up to 57kg at 8% bodyfat. Roughly worked out, that's about 700 grams of fat gain, to about 1.25kg of muscle gain.

Here is a picture of me before I started trying to put on some of the weight;

As you can see, the muscle definition isn't too bad, but the size is weak.
I hope whoever reads this will follow me in trying to achieve my goal.
Thanks, Liam.
